Caregiver Recognition Award

At Shackelford Funeral Directors, our family and teams have a profound degree of respect and appreciation for caregivers. This includes physicians, physicians’ assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, chaplains, social workers, CNAs, administrative professionals, volunteers, and anyone else who serves in this vital role.

The emotional challenges that come with these

positions are many and varied. The hours are

unpredictable and the conditions difficult. To

acknowledge their dedication to this demanding

profession, we have implemented the “Caregiver

Recognition Award.” We want to celebrate those who go above and beyond in their service to patients and their families while demonstrating a high level of patience, compassion, and kindness.

Each month, we will honor a caregiver who has been nominated by peers, friends, patients, families, or others who feel this person excels in their profession.

One caregiver each month will receive an award and gift card. At the conclusion of the year there will be a banquet honoring the monthly recipients. A Review Committee will select a “Caregiver of the Year” who will receive a special gift.
