Yvonne Cody was born February 20, 1934 in Reese, TX, the daughter of the late V. I. Douglas and Ethel Loper Douglas. She departed this life on May 16, 2024 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 2 Months, 26 Days.

Yvonne was united in marriage to James "Buff" Cody on October 24, 1983. Mr. Cody preceded her in death on December 4, 2008.

Yvonne and Buff were married in Cyprus and lived in Israel where he was stationed in the U.S. Military before returning to Lexington, TN. She enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by a son, Bruce Manley and wife Ann of Selmer, TN; stepchildren, Jackie Burns and husband Bill, James Cody all of AR; six grandchildren: Justin Manley (Heather), Christy Doyle (Jeremy), James Daniel Roten, Bart Burns (Blake), Steven Burns (Amy), Chris Burns; nine great grandchildren: Springer Doyle, Anne Marie Doyle, Daniel Manley, Elizabeth Manley, Rebekah Manley, Clayton Burns, Harrison Burns, Kinley Burns, Jase Burns.

In addition to her husband and parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by a son, Perry Lynn Manley.

No public services will be held, burial will take place in Arlington National Cemetery. Special thanks to Legacy Hospice staff and Lynnfield Place staff.
