Lexington: Ms. Yolanda Jean Smith, age 47 died at her home in Lexington, TN Friday night, May 20, 2022 after a battle with cancer.
She was born in Marshall, Texas on December 11, 1974, daughter of the late Gene Franklin Preslar and Vickey Joyce Sanders Crowe. She grew up in Henderson, Tennessee and was a 1994 graduate of Chester County High School.
After high school she obtained her CNA license and began working for the Chester County Nursing Home and worked there for several years before she began working for Southwest Human Resources. For the last four years she had worked for Adient in Lexington.
She was a loving and devoted mother, sister and Nina to her granddaughter. She most enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanna Smith (Patrick Moore) of Lexington; a son Colton Hollingsworth (Samira) of Henderson; a granddaughter Mychelle LeeAna Moore; a sister Candace Crouse (Bradley) of Henderson; a sister-in-law Crystal Preslar of Henderson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Lee Smith and a brother Shawn Preslar.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday, May 23 at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery with Bro. Aaron Moss officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Cemetery on Monday from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM service time.
