Woody H. Moore, 86, of Middleton, died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.



The husband of Laura Luella Taber Moore, who survives, he was a machinist with Bemis Bag, East Texas Paper & Pulp and Southland Paper Company, both in Memphis. Mr. Moore was born May 4, 1919 in Dallas County, Arkansas and had lived in Memphis prior to making his home in Middleton in 1985. He served with the U. S. Army in the Pacific Campaign during WWII and was a member of the VFW and Moose Club in Memphis. Mr. Moore was also a member of Hebron Baptist Church.



Services were 2 pm Saturday, November 19, 2005 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Bertie Moore and Jim Madden officiating. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery near Middleton.



In addition to his wife, whom he married December 6, 2003, he is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Lynn Manning of Mumford; one son, Mike Moore of Middleton; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dortha P. Moore, who died October 6, 1995 after 48 years of marriage, one son, Christopher Moore and sister, Victoria Keen.
