Wilton King

Wilton King was born November 28, 1935 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Jerry M. and Ruby Jewell King.He was united in marriage to Florence Dillon on March 22, 1956. Mrs. King preceded him in death on August 16, 2004.Mr. King was a mechanic and operated a heavy equipment repair business. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Selmer Masonic Lodge 743 and the Al Chymia Temple of the Shrine in Memphis. He was also a member of Cypress Creek Gun Club and the National Rifle Association. Mr. King served as a volunteer fireman for the Byrd Locke Fire Department. Mr. King departed this life on April 8, 2008 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 4 Months, 11 Days. He is survived by two sons: Jerry Lee King and wife Jackie of Hornsby, TN and Carroll King and wife Nina of Pocahontas, TN; a brother, Texas King and wife Johnnie of Selmer, TN; three grandchildren: Mandy (King) Rickman and husband Robert of Selmer, TN, Nathan King of Hornsby, TN and Wendy King of Pocahontas, TN; two great grandchildren: Brittany and Emma Rickman, both of Selmer, TN; and a special friend and companion, Diane Swanner of Selmer, TN. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by a grandchild, Jeffery Dale King.
