Mrs. King died Thursday morning at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. The widow of Harvey Clyde King, who passed away on January 24, 1979, she was retired from housekeeping with Bolivar General Hospital in 1997. She was born to Wilma Tims Collins of Bolivar and the late Frank Jefferson Collins and lived all of her life here. She enjoyed working in her flowers, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and reading. Mrs. King was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors includes five daughters, Alline & Jessie Sanders of Henderson, Joan and Dennis McMahan of Hornsby, Patsy and Glenn McAlpin of Middleton, Janice White of Jackson and Mary Sue and Terry Lynn Hodge of Middleton; five sons, Roger DAle and Nedda Jo King, Gary Wayne and Debbie King and Carl and Deborah King all of Toone, Richard and Debra King of Medon and Gregory Shawn and Christy King of Toone; her mother, Wilma Tims Collins of Bolivar; seven sisters, Frances Elizabeth Dulin of Mercer, Linnie Estelle Pirtle of Malesus, Mildred Dean King of Bolivar, Suzie Ann Odom, Betty Jane Fitzwater, Julie Darlene Martin and Margaret Katherine Flake all of Arkansas; three brothers, Frank Jefferson Collins of Arkansas, Donald Ray Colline of Medon and Harry Wiley Collins of Selmer; 28 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Docia Rebecca Collins and a son in law, Tommy White.
