WILMA SUE JONES
Henderson, TN: Wilma Sue Davis Jones age 85 passed away March 8, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born June 28, 1929 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Dossie Alford and Annie Ettolia Hardin Davis. She graduated Chester County High School in 1949. She married Oral Jones of Henderson in 1952. They made their home in Chester County all their life. Mrs. Wilma worked at the M & M Truck stop in Henderson and also helped Oral on the farm and in Mr. Jones wood finishing business and also raised her family. She loved to cook for the family and everyone, loved sewing, crocheting, and working puzzles. She was a member of the Jackson Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Mrs. Jones is survived by two sons, Rickey Jones and wife Regina of Henderson and Tim Jones and wife Sheila of Henderson a daughter, Myra Davis of Henderson; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Oral K. Jones in 1993, a brother, Leon Davis and a sister, Myra Lou Davis Holder.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Pastor Duane O’Ffill and burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday.
