Wilma Pauline Higgins

WILMA PAULINE HIGGINSwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on July 1, 1915 the daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Dollie Smith Hinton.On December 11, 1932 she was united in marriage to Frank Ray Higgins, who preceded his wife in death on September 9, 1989.Mrs. Higgins was a Nurses Aide. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Mrs. Higgins was a member of the Retired Nurses Association.She departed this life on September 11, 2007 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 92 years, 2 months and 10 days.Mrs. Higgins is survived by 2 daughters, Carolyn Evans and her husband Howard of Savannah, Tennessee and Nancy Viniard and her husband Billy of Monticello, Mississippi.3 sons, Charles Higgins and his wife Joy of Athens, Alabama, Larry Higgins and his wife Mary Jo of Savannah, Tennessee and Rickey Higgins of Savannah, Tennessee.10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren2 sisters, Callie Qualls and Betty Sue Battle, both of Savannah, Tennesseeone brother, Otis Hinton of Savannah, Tennessee.Mrs. Higgins was also preceded in death by one daughter, Wilma Joyce Higgins, one brother, Billy Guy Hinton, 3 sisters, Jo Fielder, Aleen Adkisson and Hester Sue Scott and one half-sister, Ellise Clement.
