Wilma Austin

WILMA AUSTINwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 22, 1932 daughter of the late Charlie and Alta Mae Smith McClain.On February 13, 1954 she was united in marriage to Clarence L. Austin who preceded her in death on December 30, 2000.Mrs. Austin worked for Parris Manufacturing Company . She had also worked for the Button Factory and Brown Shoe Company. She loved to fish, raising flowers and doing Needlepoint.Mrs. Austin departed from this life on July 19, 2008 at the age of 76 years, 5 months, and 27 days.She leaves two daughters: Diane Boyd - Savannah, Tennessee and Joanne Pierce and her husband David of Jackson, Tennessee.One son: Keith Austin - Savannah, Tennessee.3 grandchildren: Jeremy Blount, Will Drury, and Emily Austin.2 great grandchildren: Jackson McGarity Blount and Tyson Maddoux Drury.Four sisters: Lois Hudgens, Frankie Young, and Mable Jennings all of Savannah, Tennessee and Robbie Hanback of Indiana.Two brothers: Douglas and Larry McClain of Savannah, Tennessee. Mrs. Austin was preceded by a sister Dorothy Godwin and a brother Harvey Joe McClain.
