W. Kate Youngerman was born January 12, 1938 in Crockett Mills, Tennessee. She oldest child of the late George and Caroline Lewis Dean. A graduate from Hamlett Robertson High School in Crockett Mills and received a B.S. in English and Physical Education from the University of Tennessee. She taught at Armstrong Jr. College in Savannah Georga, and after her marriage to Charles Youngerman taught English in Shelbyville and Savannah Tennessee. She moved with her family to Selmer in 1970 where she raised a family worked as a counselor with the health department and co owned a business. Mrs. Youngerman is survived by her husband Charles of Selmer; son Alan Youngerman of Selmer, and grandson\'s Bryce and Reed Youngerman of Selmer; sister Rosa Norwood of Axtell, Kansas; and brother George Dean Jr. of Jackson, Tennessee.
