Willie Mae Weaver, 87, died Wednesday morrning, April 26, 2006 at McNairy County General Hospital in Selmer.



The widow of Malcolm Weaver, who died in 1989, she was a homemaker and had worked for a time at Harmon Automotive. Mrs. Weaver was born June 27, 1918 in McNairy County, daughter of the late Luna and Maggie Kendrick Kirk and lived in the Hornsby area most of her life. She was a member of Hornsby Baptist Church and loved to garden.



Graveside services were 1:00 PM Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Wyatt Cemetery near Hornsby with Orville McMahan officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.



She is survived by two sons, Doug Weaver of Hornsby and George Weaver of Middleton; two sisters, Opal Taylor and Gail Russom, both of Selmer; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Shelby, Sam and Ray Kirk and four sisters, Manola Kirk, Cleo West, Allie Belle Taylor and Myrtle McMahan.
