Willie B. Stricklin

WILLIE B. (SIS) STRICKLINwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 4, 1928 the daughter of the late Joe Duff and Mary Ellen Benson Duff Carpenter.She was united in marriage to Lawrance Stricklin, who preceded his wife in death.Mrs. Stricklin was a machine operator for Brown Shoe Company and also worked at Harbert Hills Nursing Home. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music and cooking.Mrs. Stricklin departed this life on January 21, 2012 at Harbert Hills Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 84 years and 17 days.She is survived by 4 daughters, Jerldine Stricklin, Willie Ellen Pickens, Betty Jo Murphy and Dorothy Jane Cook, all of Savannah, Tennesseeone son, David Earl Stricklin of Savannah, Tennessee19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildrenone brother, Lee Short of Rogersville, AlabamaIn addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Ann Chelette, one son, James Robert Stricklin, 5 grandchildren, James David Stricklin, Laura Jo Funderburk, Eddie Joe Stricklin, Diane Franks and Joey Crotts, 2 great grandchildren, Tiffany Mitchell and Danielle Davis and one sister, Ethel Pickens.
