Willie Jo Kerby

Willie Jo Carothers Kerby was born September 24, 1923 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late William Jess and Minnie Rankin Carothers.She was united in marriage to Joe C. Kerby on December 22, 1945. Mr. Kerby preceded her in death on August 26, 1973.Mrs. Kerby was a retired Nurses Aide and had worked for Smith Clinic and Humphries Clinic. She also served as Director of Activities for Maple Hill Nursing Home, and was employed with Sawmill Furniture in Selmer. Mrs. Kerby was a former member of the Board of Directors for Farm Bureau, and was a member of the Fourth Street church Of Christ in Selmer, Tennessee. Mrs. Kerby departed this life on June 2, 2009 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 8 Months, 9 Days. She is survived by a son, Gary Kerby and wife Terrie of Selmer, TN; three grandchildren: Tammy (Kerby) Moorman and husband Todd of Louisville, KY, Jill C. Gray and husband Jimmy of Selmer, TN, and Julie (Kerby) Turner and husband Tom of Brentwood, TN; ten great grandchildren: Kerby Gray, Kaitlyn Gray, Mason Moorman, Kensley Gray, Parker Moorman, Keaton Gray, Anna Moorman, Walker Moorman, William Turner and Hudson Turner; and a host of extended family and friends.
