Willie Edwardswas born in Corinth, Mississippi on February 21, 1956 the son of the late Leslie and Venia Hollins Edwards.On September 6, 2000 he was united in marriage to Janese Newell, who survives.Mr. Edwards had worked for Leapwood Sawmill as a laborer. He enjoyed golfing, outdoors, spending time with his family, and watching Tennessee Vols football. He lived in the Childer's Hill community.Mr. Edwards departed this life on Thursday, January 28, 2009 at the age of 52 years, 11 months, 7 days.In addition to his wife, Mr. Edwards is survived by 3 sons, Brandon Lashane Edwards of Corinth, Mississippi, Scotty Edwards of Shiloh, Tennessee, and Chris Newell of Counce,Tennessee; a daughter, Ashley Davis of Henderson, Tennessee; a brother, Joe Edwards of Leapwood, Tennessee; 6 sisters, Shirley Austin, Mattie Eason, Ruby Cornelius all of Shiloh, Tennessee, Sally Ledgewood of Michie, Tennessee, Mary Stevens of Savannah, Tennessee, and Myrtle Buckridge of Tupelo, Mississippi; 6 grandchildren, Madison Edwards, Alli Edwards, Destiny Edwards, Kelsey Newell, Drayton Davis, and Bailey Davis.In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by 3 brothers, James Edwards, Gene Edwards, and Dewey Edwards; a sister, Marie Edwards.
