Willie A. Brown departed this life on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at the age of 76 years, 4 months, and 8 days. He was born in Leaksville, Mississippi, on October 4, 1942, the son of the late Evon and Lucille Massey Brown. On Ovtober 9, 1999, he was united in marriage to Sandra Fredrickson, who survives.
Willie was a handyman by nature, and enjoyed running heavy equipment and building his own boat docks. He owned and operated Willie's Hidden Harbor, which offered boats for sale, boat repair, and had a restaurant and bar. Willie was a member of the Upper Mississippi Waterways Association.
Willie is survived by his wife of 19 years, Sandra Brown of Counce, Tennessee; daughter, Lisa Gaetke and her husband Joe of Minnesota; step sons, Brian Thuringer and his wife Lisa of Kansas City, Missouri, and Joseph Thuringer of Counce, Tennessee; grandchildren, Nichole and husband Connor, Jessica, Jane, Collin, and Henry; great grandchild, Lacia; sisters, Vermile of Olaethe, Kansas, Barbara of Jackson County, Mississippi, Vera of Prafftown, North Carolina, and Shirley of Charge County, Mississippi; and brother, Troy Brown and his wife Mary of Mobile, Alabama.
Along with his parents, Willie was preceded in death by a brother, Lavon Brown, and a sister, Lula Kay Burnett.
