William Gary Wynn was born July 4, 1951 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late William Elmer Wynn and the late Ruby Pearl Surratt Ratcliff.
Mr. Wynn was a 1969 graduate of Selmer High School and was formerly employed by the Tennessee Valley Authority. He worked on the Yellow Creek Project until an injury forced his retirement. He was a member of the Forrest Hill Church Of Christ in Selmer, Tennessee, and served his country in the United States Army.
Mr. Wynn departed this life on March 23, 2009, his mother's birthday, in Chicago, Illinois at the age of 57 Years, 8 Months, 19 Days. He is survived by three daughters, Loretta Wynn of Selmer, TN, Tammie (Wynn) Kirk and husband Eric of Guys, TN, Serena Pearl Wright of Goodyear, AZ; two sons, Gary Bernard Wynn of Jackson, TN, William Gary Wynn Jr. of Selmer, TN; three sisters, Felesha Tall and husband David of Selmer, TN, Lisa Jones of Jackson, TN, Ayana Wynn of Baton Rouge, LA; a brother, Ahmad Wynn of Pontiac, MI; nine grandchildren, Corrisa Trice of Selmer, TN, Brandon Wynn of Selmer, TN, Mia Wynn of Selmer, TN, Mariah Wynn of Selmer, TN, Shamika Kirk of Guys, TN, Deonta Kirk of Guys, TN, Kalaya Wynn of Guys, TN, Alexis Wynn of Guys, TN, Kylin Wynn of Guys, TN; and a great-grandchild, Deontae Omar Wynn of Selmer, TN.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wynn was preceded in death by his grandmother, Georgia Surratt and a stepbrother, Henry Moten.
