William Jeffrey Whitten

William Jeffrey Whitten was born July 1, 1958 in Memphis, TN the son of the late William Franklin and Loretta Sue Woods Whitten. He departed this life on March 26, 2020 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 61 Years, 8 Months, 25 Days.
Mr. Whitten was united in marriage to Lisa Knight on June 26, 1976. He served in the United States Navy as an aircraft mechanic. He drove a truck for 30 years. He was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. William was an avid bowler and loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Knight Whitten of Selmer, TN; two sons, Jeff Whitten of Tupelo, MS, Michael Whitten and wife Heather of Selmer, TN; a sister, Druscilla Arnold of Savannah, TN; five grandchildren: Logan Whitten and wife Emily, Jordan Whitten, Kimberly Whitten, Michael Brooks Whitten and Makayla Whitten; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Whitten was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Whitten.
IN RESPONSE TO GOVERNOR LEE’S EXECUTIVE ORDER 17, WHICH TOOK EFFECT AT 12:01 AM MARCH 23, 2020, THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VISITATIONS OR SERVICES THROUGH APRIL 5, 2020. WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION AND APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.
