William Moss Teague

William Moss Teague, born June 27, 1941, in McNairy County, TN, was the cherished son of the late Joseph and Sadie Mildred Baker Teague.

He was united in marriage to Hazel Hurst on November 8, 1980.

A devoted member of Eastview Baptist Church in Eastview, TN, Mr. Teague served as a deacon and was known for his unwavering faith. He enjoyed deer hunting and treasured the moments spent with his great-grandchildren, who brought joy to his life.

With a career spanning many years as a carpenter in residential construction, he dedicated himself to building and crafting beautiful countertops, leaving a lasting legacy in the homes he worked on.

Mr. Teague peacefully passed away on September 8, 2024, in Corinth, Mississippi, at the age of 83 years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Hazel Teague of Corinth, MS; his two sons, Jeff Teague of Selmer, TN, and Jeremy Teague of Ramer, TN; four grandchildren: Farryn Teague, Bailey Anna Teague, Samantha Zamora and husband Noe, and Raven Leon and husband Darwin; as well as 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Dottie Robinson of Camden, TN; sister-in-law, Brenda Teague of Memphis, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Jerry, Joe, Roger, and Sammy Teague; three sisters, Essie Kirk, Judy Kay Glover, and Joyce Barnes.

The family would like to thank everyone who helped us get through this difficult time. We greatly appreciated the meals provided by Jerry & Justeen Castleberry and Jeremy Teague & Brooke Brown. Huge thanks to MRHC Hospice nurses and staff, especially Kelsea Julen, Bionca Bogan, Tiffany Hight, and Ginger Cox and our sitter Joy Ashcraft. We would also like to express our gratitude to Bro. Jetta Forsythe from Selmer, Bro. Danny Rachel from Jackson, Bro. Josh Hodum and Pastor Nelson Hight both of Corinth for the calls, visits and prayers.

In keeping with his wishes, there will not be a public service; however, the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date to honor William's life and legacy.
