William Carson Scott

July 30, 1920 — May 1, 2006

William Scott, 85, of Middleton, died Monday morning, May 1, 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.



The husband of Mary Nell Scott, who survives, he was a farmer. Mr. Scott was born July 30, 1920 in Middleton, son of the late William Milo “Buddy” Scott and Wilma McBride Scott and lived in the Lacy Community most of his life. He graduated from Middleton High School in 1938, served on the Hardeman County Fair Board and was a member of the County Commission for 12 years. Mr. Scott served in the U. S. Army during WWII in Belgium and Germany as a Sergeant in the infantry and was a member of Middleton Methodist Church.



Services were 1:00 PM Thursday, May 4, 2006 at Reaves Methodist Church with Adrian Knipper officiating. Burial was in Reaves Cemetery near Middleton.



In addition to his wife, whom he married in 1946, survivors include one son, Bob Scott of Phoenix, AZ and one sister, Lucille Bates of Memphis.
