William Dwayne (Wayne) Rogers was born January 10, 1948 in Michie, TN the son of the late Harold and Maggie Inez Wilbanks Rogers. He was united in marriage to Teri Riggle on December 24, 1978.
Mr. Rogers served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, receiving 4 Purple Hearts. He later worked as a forklift operator and material handler at Quebecor World Printing in Corinth MS. before he retired in 2009. Mr. Rogers had a special bond with his sons, and loved being in the outdoors. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, working, laughing, joking around, and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Rogers departed this life on May 27, 2013 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 65 Years, 4 Months, 17 Days. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Teri (Riggle) Rogers of Adamsville, TN; three sons, Brandon Rogers and wife Victoria of Memphis, TN, Michael Rogers and wife Angie of Florence, AL, David Rogers and wife Willa of Adamsville, TN; three grandchildren, William Lee Rogers, Michael Dwayne Rogers Jr., Lucas Daniel Rogers; three sisters, Shirley Whitmore and husband Earl of Saint Louis, MO, Mary Lee Killingsworth of Henderson, TN, Lena Coffman and husband Billy of Counce, TN; and one brother, Dickie Rogers of Enville, TN.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Christopher Rogers; and a brother, Billy Joe Rogers.
