William H. Morris

William H. Morris, departed this life on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 7 Months, 21 Days. He was born December 31, 1917 in Wisconsin, the son of the late Henry Morris and Mabel Nickel Morris . Other than his parents, Mr. Morris was preceded in death by wife; Frances Lucille Burns Morris; daughter; Sharon Bingham; brother; Glen John Morris; grandsons; Andrew and Peter Curtiss.



Mr. Morris was a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clifton, Tennessee and Operating Engineer's Local # 139 in WI. He served his country in the United States Army during WW II.



He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kay Coggins Morris of Clifton, TN; four sons, Wayne Morris of St. Paul, MN, Randy Burns and wife, Beth, of Clifton, TN, Terry Burns and wife, Paula, of Bourbonnais, IL, William Butch Burns of Clifton, TN; three daughters, Jayne Trapp and husband, Roger, of Albany, WI, R. Joyce Curtiss and husband, Mel, of Cottage Grove, WI,Susan Farmer and husband, Russ, of Clifton, TN; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 3:30 pm at First Baptist Church, Clifton, TN with Randal Runions and Cody Kargus officiating. Burial will be in Clifton Cemetery, Clifton, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Paul Curtiss, Cody Kargus, Cecil Scruggs, Brad Scruggs, Mark Holt, Chris Kelley. Visitation will be Saturday, August 23, 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Clifton,TN.
