William Meredith Marts

August 12, 1933 — June 9, 2024

William Meredith Marts, 90, of Adamsville, Tennessee, passed away on June 9, 2024. He was born on August 12, 1933 in Export, Pennsylvania, the only child of the late William Kline and Helen Remaley Marts.

On May 18, 1974, he was united in marriage to Sarah Katherine Cromwell Marts, who survives.

Mr. Marts was an individual of several interests and talents. He was always trying to look for a better way to do things, as evidenced by the fact he held two U.S. patents.

Mr. Marts was a member of First Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. He was staunchly patriotic and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Once honorably discharged, he attended DeVry University in Chicago, Illinois. He then worked at Honeywell in St. Petersburg, Florida. The bulk of his employment years were spent installing and maintaining artificial kidney machines for Milroy Extracaporeal. He had more brief employment stints in construction and in the oil industry. His employment years ended when he retired from Harris County, Texas as a deputy tax collector.
