William Theodore Keene
was born on October 4, 1921 in Alton, Illinois the son of the late Frank and Ethel McCarty Keene.
On October 16, 1943 he was united in marriage to Alma Bray Keene, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Keene worked as a towboat engineer and farmer. He was also a member of Graham Chapel Church.
He departed this life on December 7, 2005 at Park Rest Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 3 days.
Mr. Keene is survived by a daughter, Alma Jeanette McClain of Savannah, Tennessee and a son, William Theodore Keene, Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri;
3 grandchildren: Doug McClain, Mary Keirns and Jennifer Humble;
4 great-grandchildren: Dave McClain, Wesley McClain, Tim Keirns and Zachary Keirns;
2 brothers: Earl Keene of Savannah, Tennessee and Tommy Keene of St. Cloud, Minnesota;
and 3 sisters: Mable White of Decatur, Illinois; Emma Bolyard of Mulberry, Florida and Alberta Bernaix of Kampsville, Illinois.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Carl and Thadius Keene; a sister, Helen Reeves and his step-father, Albert Jones.
