William Earby Julian was born on Thursday, October 1, 1908, in Clifton, Tennessee, the son of the late John Julian and Dora Keen Julian. He married Viola Pridus McCormick on December 1, 1934. He farmed during his lifetime and also worked as a painter, and also as a cook at Western Mental Health Hospital in Bolivar, Tennessee.Mr. Julian was a member of Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Church near Henderson, Tennessee. He was one of the first alderman for the Town of Finger and also worked as a McNairy County election official at the Finger precinct.He passed from this life on Friday, July 14, 2006, at his home in Finger at the age of 97 years, 9 months, and 13 days.He is survived by his wife of 71 years Viola Pridus Julian of Finger; 5 daughters, Dorothy Moore of Finger, Faye Plunk of Memphis, Reba Carroll of Sparta, Illinois, Glenda Ingle of Ramer, and Janice Henry of Bethel Springs; 2 sons, Jerry Julian of Finger and Jimmy Julian of Henderson; 2 brothers, Earl Julian and Johnny Julian, both of Henderson; a sister Roxie Crowell of Selmer. 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.A host of other relatives and friends.Other than his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister, Alford Julian, Otis Julian, and Exie Ramey.
