William Pauline Hugheswas born in Morris Chapel, Tennessee on May 25, 1917 the son of the late Ira Vestal Hughes and Myrtle Mae Swiney Hughes.On July 3, 1937 he was united in marriage to the former Beatrice Rickman, who survives. Mr. Hughes was a self-employed merchant. He was a member of the Morris Chapel First United Methodist Church and the Woodmen of the World, Lodge 233 at Morris Chapel. During his life, Mr. Hughes had lived in and owned businesses in Milledgeville, Adamsville and Morris Chapel, Tennessee.He departed this life on May 24, 2007 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 29 days.Mr. Hughes is survived by his wife, Beatrice Rickman Hughes of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; one daughter, Janice K. Hughes Boling of Savannah, Tennessee; one son, Fred P. Hughes of Dyersburg, Tennessee;six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one sister, Mattie Mae Hughes Duckworth of Austin, Texas.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Barry Ward Hughes.
