William Benjamin (Ben) Hendricks Jr. William Benjamin (Ben) Hendricks, Jr., age 47, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at his home in Cypress Inn, TN. He was born July 28, 1962 in Sanford, FL, the son of the Barbara Barnett Hendricks and the late William (Ben) Hendricks, Sr.
Memorial services will be Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 3 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Collinwood, TN with Josh Stults officiating and Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Honorary pallbearers will be James Slaughter, Fred Hendricks, Jr., Dick Doney, Michael Doney, Roman Dial, Jordan Powers. His cremains will be buried in Woodland Cemetery in Sanford, FL.
Mr. Hendricks was a member of Palmetto Avenue Baptist Church in Sanford, Florida and was an Eagle Scout having served as cubmaster with Pack 508 in Sanford. He relocated to Cypress Inn, TN in October 2006 and was employed at Dollar General in Collinwood, TN. Before coming to Tennessee, he served in the United States Navy and was store manager for 7-11 stores in Seminole County, FL for sixteen years.
Ben is survived by his mother, Barbara Hendricks, niece, Autumn Hendricks, nephews, Fred Hendricks, Jr., James (Deborah) Slaughter all of Cypress Inn, TN; brothers, John (Rita) Hendricks of Debary, FL, Jason Hendricks of Monticello, FL, Carson Hendricks of Cross City, FL; sisters, Paula (Mike) Penna, Polk City, FL, Leigh Ann Dudley, Casselberry, FL, Pamela (Chryst) Doney, Sanford, FL; numerous nieces and nephews. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by brothers, Paul Hendricks and Frederick (Tom) Hendricks, Sr.
