Services for William Edsel Hanback, age 64 of Chisholm Highway, Iron City,was 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Stateline Church with Jackie Ward and Keith Montgomery officiating. Burial followed in the Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of arrangements.Pallbearers were Tyler Horton, Colton Horton, Hunter Hanback, Herbie Schultz. Michael Kilburn, and James Mullins; honorary pallbearers were Don Mullins and Alvin Gilchrist.He was born March 8, 1944 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the son of the late William Howard and Myrtle Bates Hanback. Mr. Hanback departed this life Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama. Mr. Hanback, a member of Stateline Church, was retired from Di-Tech in Florence as a machinist. He enjoyed singing and was known in the community for his singing ability.He is survived by his wife Joyce Fay Hinson Hanback of Iron City, TN; two daughters, Rhonda Kilburn and husband Michael of Cypress Inn, TN, Sonya Schultz and husband Herbie of Revilo, TN; five grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler, Allie, Colton, and Hunter ; three sisters, Arnell Bratton Robertson and Idell Robbins both of Collinwood, TN, and Ina Gilchrist of Lawrenceburg, TN;
