William Wayne Griffin (Bitsy) was born October 1, 1945, to Howard and Helen Griffin. He departed this life and entered into heaven February 14, 2020.
William loved to fish, play golf, and sing Southern Gospel songs. He was saved when he was 63 and started singing when he was 66. He loved to sing in church and at the TV station in Adamsville. He was a member at Cloverport Baptist Church, but the last several years had been attending New Chapel Freewill Baptist in Counce, Tennessee. After moving to Counce in 2015, many new friends were made who helped him in his final days on this earth and they are greatly appreciated and loved.
William was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Malcolm, Kenneth, Ronald, and Thomas Griffin; and a sister, Patsy Moore. He is survived by his wife, Karen Griffin of Counce, Tennessee; brother, Don Griffin of Southaven, Mississippi; two sons, William Griffin, Jr. and Jimmy Griffin of Jackson, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; his friend, Phil Morton, who called every day to check on him; and his fur baby, Chloe.
So thankful for our friend and neighbor, Bettie Knupp and so many others who God put in our path. He knew just who and what we would need.
