W.C. Emerson was born October 18, 1923 in Madison County, Tennessee the son of the late Bedford and Alma Carroll.On April 1, 1945 he married Bobbie Porter who preceded him in death on December 23, 2004.During his life Mr. Emerson worked as a self-employed carpenter and farmer. He loved to hunt and fish and was a former member of the Pickwick Bass Masters. He was a member of the Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Emerson departed this life on September 14, 2007 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 83.He is survived by his son Bill Emerson of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter Jimmie Warren of Jackson, Tennessee; 2 sisters: Dean of California; Avanell of Jackson , Tennessee; 3 brothers: Judson Emerson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Virgil Emerson of Jackson , Tennessee; Richard Emerson of California; 4 grandchildren: Jeff Emerson, Jana Hellums, Max Warren, Cindy Gallo; 3 great-grandchildren: Rachel Hellums, Casey Gallo, and Christopher Gallo.In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a daughter: Wanda White; and 2 sisters.
