WILLIAM “BUGGER†DAVIS
Was born in Tallassee, Alabama on August 19, 1925 the son of the late O. C. and Aurelia Durbin Davis.
On February 6, 1951 he was united in marriage to the former Nancy Boyd Doty, who preceded her husband in death on May 16, 2003.
Mr. Davis was a contract electrician. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Davis departed this life on September 27, 2006 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 8 days.
He is survived by one daughter, Susan Liddon of Memphis, Tennessee.
One son, Michael Davis of Savannah, Tennessee.
5 grandchildren, Nancy Liddon, Bob Liddon, Margaret Liddon, John Patrick Davis and Willoughby Davis.
One brother, Jimmy Davis of Vicksburg, Mississippi.
3 sisters, Barbara Jean Howell of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Mary Eleanor Flowers of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Peggy Cobb of Benton, Arkansas.
Other than his parents and his wife, Mr. Davis was also preceded in death by one son, John Hardin Davis.
