William H. Dacus

William H. Dacus, age 57 of Medon, passed from this life Monday, December 22, 2008 at his home.He was born August 22, 1951 in Hardeman County to the late Louis Edmond and Rosie Ellen Spencer Dacus. He worked as a sawmill sawyer and attended New Union Baptist Church in Toone. Survivors include a daughter, Tanya Tackett of Whiteville; a son, Thomas Dacus of Toone; three sisters, Mable Hopper of Bolivar, Janie Dacus of Medon, and Irene Houston of Memphis; two brothers, Ervin Dacus of Medon and James Dacus of Bolivar; and six grandchildren, Ashley Dacus, Matthew Tackett, Kaitlin Dacus, Kaycee Dacus, Savannah Smith and Alyssa Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Harry Dacus, John Spencer, Leroy Dacus and Herbert Dacus.
