William Miles Cox, 80, of Jackson, Tenn., died Thursday, March 3,
2005 at Humboldt General Hospital.
The widower of Lorraine King Cox, who died September 12, 1999,
he worked at the Bolivar Tannery. Mr. Cox was born March 9,
1924 in Hardeman County, son of the late Earl Siler Cox and
Nannie Mae Leathers Cox and served in the U.S. Army during
WWII.
Services were 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2005 at Shackelford's
chapel in Bolivar with Bertie Moore officiating. Burial was at New
Union Cemetery near Medon.
Survivors include three sisters, Earline Manning of Germantown,
Imogene Stiedle of Gulf Port, Miss. and Sue Lytle of Hickory Flatt,
Miss. He was preceded in death by brother, Calvin Cox and sister,
Nell Marie Cox.
