William Earl Copous of Florence, AL was born May 2, 1930 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late Ed and Vada Daniel Copous. He was united in marriage to Flora Jean Murray on December 16, 1950. Mr. Copous was a retired truck driver with ABF Trucking. He was a member of the Underwood Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama.
Mr. Copous departed this life on Monday, October 29, 2012 at ECM Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 82 Years, 5 Months, 27 Days.
He is survived by his wife, Flora Jean Copous, Florence, AL; son, Kevin Earl Copous of Florence, AL; daughters, Vada Ann Barnett and husband, Edwin, Waynesboro, TN, Gail Barnett and husband, Jeffrey, Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Justin Barnett, Marianne Warren; great-grandchildren, Brogan, Hadley, and Kolt Barnett; brother, Billy Copous, Waynesboro, TN; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Copous was preceded in death by brothers, Tommy, Warren, and Ronald Copous; sisters, Evelyn Holt and Bonnie Nell Diviney.
Services will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Donnie McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens at Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Dawson, David Burns, Edwin Barnett, Justin Barnett, Ben Warren, and Carl Rich.
