William "Bill" Monroe Payne

William "Bill" Monroe Payne, born on March 20, 1936, to late Jayson and Pauline Payne, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024, at NHC Brink in Lawrenceburg, TN. Bill's life was marked by his dedication and service. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and found solace in his faith as a member Collinwood Church of God. On September 5, 1964, Bill entered into matrimony with Jo Ann Brewer, sharing 59 years of marriage with her.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Jo Ann Brewer Payne; his two sons - Wade Payne and Carissa of Lake Jem, FL, and Jayson Payne and Amy of Iron City, TN; his brother Lloyd Payne of Qulin, MO; sisters Wilma Berger and Gerald of Qulin, MO, Barbara Head and Teddy of Qulin, MO; as well as his grandchildren Garrett Payne, Logan Payne, and Weston Payne.

In the embrace of eternity, Bill is reunited with his sisters Shirley Payne, Corla Lee Hill, Nora Lee Howard; and brother J.A. Harper.

A Memorial service honoring Bill's life will take place at Collinwood Church of God on Saturday, August 10, 2024, with visitation starting at 12 p.m. with the Memorial Service following and Brother Nelson Moffett officiating. The memory of William Monroe Payne will forever reside in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
