He was born and reared in Memphis, TN the son of the late William Eddie and Ethel Renick Bailey. He graduated Oakhaven High School in Memphis and attended Northwest Community College at Senatobia, MS. He was married to Rosemary Britt and they made their home in Senatobia, MS. He served in the U.S. Army in 1982 until 1983 as a medic at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO. He worked for Sam’s Club in Arlington, TX. They moved to Jackson in 1988 and he worked at Sears in the lawn and garden department until he retired in 2001. He was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Senatobia, MS.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Britt Bailey of Jackson; two sons, Larry Neal Bailey of Bartlett and Robert Andrew Bailey of Cordova; two daughters, Katherine Bailey Wood of Henderson, Mary Nell Bailey of Jackson; three grandchildren and a brother, Garry Bailey of Memphis.
