William Hubert Ayers, 75, of Silerton, died early Friday morning, June 3, 2005 at his home.
The widower of Elmie Ayers, who died October 14, 2001 after 51 years of marriage, he was an ironworker. Mr. Ayers was born May 16, 1930 in Madison County, son of the late Ellie Hugh Ayers and Annie Mae Babb Ayers and lived all his life in Silerton. He was Baptist in belief.
Services were 1 PM Sunday, June 5, 2005 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Louie Gibson and Gerald Raines officiating. Burial was in Wesley Cemetery in Silerton.
Survivors include two daughters, Amy Stutts and Cindy Ayers, both of Jackson; three sons, David Ayers of Silerton, Randy Ayers of Lake Jackson, Tex. and Gary Ayers of Crane, Indiana; two sisters, Pat Zenor of Auburn, Alabama and Irene Rolison of Bemis; one brother, Joel Ayers of Lenoir City, TN; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
