William Junior Adams was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on February 27, 1927, the son of Comer and Annie Mae Dixon Adams. On May 11, 1946, he was united in marriage to the former Mable Lee Luna, who survives.
Mr. Adams served in the United States Army during World War II. Later, he worked at Genesco and then with his son at Southgate Cinema in Savannah, Tennessee. He was also a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church and the National Rifle Association.
Mr. Adams departed this life at Hardin Medical Center on October 19, 2005 at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 23 days. Other than his wife, he is survived by two granddaughters, Tammy Adams Mabry and Lisa Adams Hunt, both of Savannah, Tennessee; one grandson, Gary Scott Adams, also of Savannah; one sister, Vernedith Franklin of Taylor, Michigan and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, William Gary Adams.
