Willard Maness

WILLARD MANESSFinger, TN: Jess Willard Maness, age 93, died May 4, 2009 at his daughter’s home.He was born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late John B. and Susan Clayton Maness. He attended schools in Chester County. He was married to Eula Crouse in 1932. They made their home in the Hickory Corner community where Mr. Maness farmed most of his working life. He worked in the maintenance department at Chickasaw State Park retiring in 1976. He was an avid coon hunter, rabbit hunter and bird hunter. Mrs. Maness died in 1974.He is survived by eight sons, David Maness of Port St. Joe, FL, William Maness of Finger, Raywood Maness of Savannah, Larry Maness of Finger, Harold Maness of Jackson, Johnny Ray Maness of Finger, Robert Maness of Wichita, KA and Danny Lee Maness of Finger; four daughters, Inetha Robison of Finger, Shirley Swallow of Glenn, MS, Susie Smith of Finger and Betty Graves of Henderson; 40 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren.
