Willard Gene Franks

Willard Gene Franks of the Flatwoods community was born September 21, 1938 in Wayne County, TN the son of the late Jimmy Ernest and Lessie Holt Franks. Mr. Franks died Friday, August 29, 2014 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 75 Years, 11 Months, 8 Days. Mr. Franks, a self employed mechanic, was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Tatum Franks.

He is survived by a son, Wayne Franks and wife Sherry, of Flatwoods, TN, a daughter, Patricia Franks of Columbia, TN, two grandchildren, Alex Franks and Alia Franks, two brothers, William Earl Franks of Flatwoods, TN and E.J. Franks of Newark, OH, two sisters, Shirley Kelley of Finger, TN and Dexter Webster of Flatwoods, TN, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on September 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Bobby Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Ary Cemetery in Perry County with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are Paul Eccher, Gil Hickerson, Bart Rosson, Mike Zemer, Jack Barrier, and Wilborn Franks.
