Willard Benson

Willard Benson was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on May 8, 1931 the son of the late Archie Daniel and Lue Austin Benson.Mr. Benson had lived in the Burnt Church Community and was a member of Plummer's Chapel Church. He had worked as a custodian at White's Elementary, Hardin County Courthouse, sawmill laborer for James A. Neill Sawmill, and a farmer.Mr. Benson departed this life Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the age of 77 years, 1 month, 3 days.Mr. Benson is survived by six sisters: Bessie Smith, Peggy Edward, Reba Moore, Jeannie Mitchell all of Savannah, Tennessee, Rubye Stark of Peoria, Arizona, Gladys Winslow of Jackson, Tennessee; four brothers: Melvin Clinton Benson, Stanley Benson, Jerry Benson all of Savannah, Tennessee, Calvin Benson of Adamsville, Tennessee.In addition to his parents, Mr. Benson was preceded in death by a sister: Dessie Taylor; grandparents: Noah and Nancy Austin, Cal and Mary Benson.
