Wilford Everette Franks

Funeral services for Wilford Everette Franks, age 69, Florence, will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Shackelford Chapel in Collinwood, TN with Rev. Willie Paul Kilburn and Rev. Jeff Street officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Friday, April 25, 2008 6:00-9:00 pm and Saturday, April 26, 2008 from 9:00 am until service time at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, TN. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Franks, a native of the Lutts community, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Myrtle Holt Franks, and a brother Joel Franks. Mr. Franks was owner of Zip City Express. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren and loved attending family gatherings. He said there were three things in his life he was proud to have accomplished; he fed his family well, bought his wife some nice gifts, and had owned several new Cadillacs. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and attended Lighthouse of Jesus Christ Church.
He is survived by his wife, G. Aliene Wright Franks, Florence, AL; sons, Ricky and his wife Mary West of Cypress Inn, TN, and Nicky Franks and his fiancé Courtney Wilson of Florence, AL; daughter, Kathy and her husband Ricky Montgomery of Florence, AL; 6 grandchildren, Lee White, Rocky White, Vanessa Hall, Natasha West, Steven Thompson, and Amy Woods; 5 great-grandchildren, Ashton White, Carter McCrerey, Kaleb Woods, Chance Woods, and Triston Thompson; sisters, Evelyn Luther of Lawrenceburg, TN and Jeanie Brewer of Lutts, TN; and brothers, Jimmy Ray Franks of Lutts, TN and Jerry Lynn Franks of Muscle Shoals, AL.
