Whitt Andrew VanFleet

Whitt Andrew VanFleet was delivered into this world August 16^th, 2022 in Florence, AL by Dr. Brent Hurd. Whitt left this world to join Jesus in Heaven May 4^th, 2024 after battling an acute illness in Huntsville, AL while being held by his momma and daddy. During his short time on this Earth, Whitt loved to read books, ride on anything that would go, loving his dogs Bandit and Big Dog, and spending time with his family and loved ones. Whitt attended church with his momma and daddy at Second Creek Church of Christ. Whitt was an extremely intelligent little boy who lit up anyone around him, especially his momma and daddy. He was truly the light of their life. Whitt was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Roy and Betty Bingham, Robert and Kathleen Glass, Gordon and Annie Hinton, and Dennis VanFleet. He is survived by his parents, Tyler and Shelby VanFleet, Savannah, TN as well as his grandparents Troy (Papa) and Shelia (GanGan) VanFleet of Savannah, TN, Jerry (Papa) and Deborah (Nana) Bingham of Lexington, TN, and great-grandparents Jimmie (Papa D) and Terrianna (Granny) Douglas of Westmoreland, TN. Aunts and Uncles include TJ (Andrea) VanFleet, Courtney (Jason) Patterson, Heather (Justin) Manley, and Stephanie (Brandon) Scarborough. He was loved by many cousins and enjoyed playing and spending time with them, especially his best friend and cousin Levi Patterson. Whitt was loved by so many and brought joy to countless people. A few special ones include Mackie (Papaw) and Linda (Nana) Gean, Mike (Uncle Mikey) Milligan, Heath (Uncle Cheese) and Ashley (Sash) Williams, and The Highlands—Jamie (JamJam), Tracy (TT), Chloie (Chlo Chlo) and Cole. In lieu of flower donations, we would like to ask for donations made in Whitt’s honor to Huntsville Hospital Foundation or Reach Out and Read.
