Wendell Vincent

December 9, 1954 — March 27, 2025

Wendell Bernard Vincent left us on March 27, 2025, after a month long stay at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was born December 9, 1954 in Bolivar, Tennessee to Calvin O’Neal Vincent and Glenys Taylor Vincent, and graduated from Central High School where he loved playing trumpet in the band. As a senior, he sat 1st chair in the All-State Band, then went on to Memphis State University on a band scholarship.

Wendell was an avid sports fan, and never missed a University of Tennessee or Dallas Cowboy’s football game. It was the thrill of his life to come to Dallas for Thanksgiving and watch the Cowboys in person at Texas Stadium.

Wendell is survived by his son, Kevin Vincent, and six siblings: Glen Vincent, Sherry Dodson, Tony Vincent, Debbie Vincent, Randy Vincent and Shirley Pena.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Parran’s Chapel Baptist Church cemetery. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend and to share some of your “Wendell stories.”
