Wendell Lee McClain was born November 18, 1932 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Freeman and Lena James McClain. He was united in marriage to Treva Lou Gladish McClain who survives.Mr. McClain was a retired Foreman for Brown Shoe Company in Selmer and a retired security guard for East-West. He was Baptist in belief. He loved to sing and play dominoes.He departed this life on August 13, 2007 in Nashville, at the age of 74 Years, 8 Months, 26 Days. Mr. McClain is survived by his wife, Treva Lou Gladish McClain of Selmer, Tennessee; two daughters, Angela Hughes and husband Steve of Guys, Tennessee, Belinda Butler and friend Jesse Roach of Selmer, Tennessee; one son, Tony McClain and wife Lindsey of Corinth, Mississippi; three sisters, Christine Sewell of Henderson, Tennessee, Kay Nix of Bethel Springs, Tennessee and Janet Ferrell of Selmer, Tennessee; five brothers, Jimmy McClain of Ramer, Tennessee, Maury McClain of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, Phillip McClain of Selmer, Tennessee, Larry McClain of Columbia, Tennessee and Ricky McClain of Selmer, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Michelle Coffman, Brandon Butler, Blake McClain, Bree Hughes, Amanda McClain and Shelby McClain; three great grandchildren, Rheagan Coffman, Spence Coffman and Reese Butler.In addition to his parents, Mr. McClain was preceded in death by two sons, Stevie McClain and Stanley McClain.
