Webster Hindmon was born on December 16, 1925 in Tishomingo, Mississippi, the son of the late Willie and Ellen M. Hindmon.
On September 3, 1947, he was united in marriage to Bertha Dee Ganus, who preceded her husband in death on October 8, 2016.
Mr. Hindmon worked for the Hardin County Highway Department as a driver and was also employed as a timber cutter. He was a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church. Webster loved the outdoors and enjoyed the goats, horses, and chickens.
Webster Hindmon departed this life on October 9, 2016 at the age of 90 years, 9 months, 23 days.
He is survived by his children, William Monroe Sagely and his wife Sandra, of Tishomingo, Mississippi, Mary Jane Shook and her husband James, of Michie, Tennessee, Odes Webster Hindman, Jr. and his wife Ruth, of Tishomingo, Mississippi, Vonnie Lee Pounders and her husband Melvin, of Iuka, Mississippi, and Margaret Louella Wolfe and her husband Gary, of Fayetteville, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren, Katherine Balch, Shirley Clayton, Mitchell Sagely, Carolyn Bennett, David Cornelius, Jr., and Steed Shook; 13 grandchildren, Kimberly Gammill, Amanda Balch, Angel Hudson, Angela Clayton, Kayla Barnes, Kaitlyn Clayton, Mitchell Sagely, Jr., Ellen Sagely, Mary Ellen Southward, Wayland White, Jr., Brittany Shook, David Cornelius, III, and Declan Cornelius; and 7 great great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Evelyn Christina Hindman Edwards; daughter-in-law, Cindy Hindman; 3 sisters, Edith Terry, Beatrice Bromley, and Bullah Smith; brother, Wesely Hindmon; and grandson, William Monroe Sagely, Jr.
