Wayne Thompson, 77, of Bolivar, passed away Saturday morning, July 23, 2022, at Bolivar General Hospital. Private memorial services will be at a later date.
He was born Thursday, December 7, 1944, in Bloomfield, Indiana, son of the late Percy Miller Thompson and Gracie Kathleen Worley Thompson and lived here since the 1970's. He worked as a Lab Tech for several medical facilities, including Western Mental Health Institute and Bolivar General Hospital. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He was a Royal Arts Mason and Baptist in faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Marcum (Jeff), of Bolivar; a son, Anthony Thompson of Bolivar; a sister, Jane Todd of Savannah; two brothers, Richard Thompson of Savannah and Byron Thompson of Crump; and a grandchild, Braden Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Phillip Thompson.
