Wayne Little
was born in Henderson County, Tennessee on September 6, 1929 the son of the late Liles Bertrum "Jack" and Ruie Phillips Little.
On September 25 1948 he was united in marriage to the former Edna Kelley, who survives. Mr. Little worked for the Henderson County Sheriffs Department for 19 years, the Lexington Police Department for 10 years, and he retired from farming and also the Henderson County Highway Department.
Mr. Little was a member of the Sardis Church of Christ and the Bath Springs Masonic Lodge.
He departed this life on July 6, 2006 at his residence in Sardis, Tennessee at the age of 76 years and 10 months.
Mr. Little is survived by his wife, Edna Kelley Little of Sardis;
3 daughters: Sharon Blount and her husband, Dean of Sardis,
Kelley Maness and her husband, Shannon of Lexington, Tennessee
and Donna Shannon and her husband, Larry of Sardis;
8 grandchildren: David and Jason Northcutt, Joe and Felicia Morris,
Shelby Maness, Dusty, Daniel and Drew Shannon;
3 great-grandchildren: Zach, Codie and Reeves Northcutt;
3 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren
and 2 brothers: Don Little of Sardis, Tennessee and Phillip Little of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Jimmie Neil and Teddy Ward Little and one sister, Mackie Lou White.
