Wayne Gilchrist

WAYNE GILCHRISTwas born in Adamsville, Tennessee on April 19, 1924 the son of the late Will and Fleety Wilkins Gilchrist.On November 2, 1945 he was united in marriage to the former Martha Stanley, who preceded her husband in death on April 6, 1998.Mr. Gilchrist was a Cable Operator for Clear Vision Cable Company. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Savannah and Martin and First Methodist Church of Adamsville. Mr. Gilchrist enjoyed bowling and playing golf. He departed this life on March 9, 2008 at the Hardin County Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 19 days.Mr. Gilchrist is survived by 3 sons, Stanley Gilchrist of Northville, Michigan, Anthony Gilchrist of Savannah, Tennessee and Barry Gilchrist of Nashville, Tennessee.7 grandchildren and one great-grandchild2 sisters, Laverne Calvert of Savannah, Tennessee and Jean Sanders of Adamsville, Tennessee.Mr. Gilchrist was also preceded in death by one sister, Demova Martin
