Wavie Louise Gibson

Wavie Louise Gibson was born July 2, 1934 in McNairy County, TN, the daughter of the late George Washington and Emma Louise McDaniel Dickey.

She was united in marriage to L D Gibson on May 15, 1954. Mr. Gibson preceded her in death on April 12, 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. She loved he family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Gibson departed this life on February 26, 2016 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 7 Months, 24 Days.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean Duncan and husband Dan of Bethel Springs, TN, Linda Franklin and husband Larry of Finger, TN; seven grandchildren: Jeremy Duncan, Andy Duncan, Zach Duncan and wife Kerri, Michael Gibson and wife Angie, Josh Gibson, Billy Gibson, Larry Franklin Jr. and wife Stephanie; fourteen great grandchildren: Caleb Duncan, Dillon Logan, Lauren Hitchborn, Lacey Gibson, Lana Gibson, Brooklyn Gibson, Haley Gibson, Tyler Gibson, Lily Gibson, Jayleigh Morgan, Jean Franklin, Larry Franklin III, Andriana Cox and Bray Burton; five sisters: Ethel, Virgie, Shirley, Beatrice and Willie; and a host of other relatives.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by seven brothers: William "Bill", Esco, Oliver, Cheatham, James, Tommy Lee and George; a sister, Leetha; two great grandchildren, Ariana Gibson and Julian Gibson.
