Warren Newton Moore, 85, of Whiteville, died Monday evening, June 18, 2007 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The husband of Agnes T. Moore of Whiteville, who survives, he was a teacher, most recently at Bolivar Central High School. Mr. Moore was born March 25, 1922 in Whiteville, son of the late Newton and Ruby Newsom Moore and lived around Whiteville all of his life. He served in the U. S. Navy, was a member of Somerville Church of Christ. He was a youth mentor at Three Springs near Nashville and at Youth Town near Jackson, Tenn.
In addition to his wife, whom he married in 1941, survivors include two daughters, Cary Howery of Urbana, IL and Thalia Burrows of Denver, CO; three sons, Newell Moore of Memphis, Harry Moore of Robbins, CA and Terry Don Moore of Pleasureville, KY; two brothers, Seals Moore of Murfreesboro and Maurice Moore of Sparta; thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Larry Moore.
